When my brother and I travel the highways in our box truck, we love to find local mom and pop restaurants and shops to spend our hard earned money. While here in Locust Grove, Georgia, we went looking for a restaurant and found Tim's Country Cafe Country Buffet. The environment was clean, modern, and friendly. You pay first and then get to dig in. The hostess at the register was kind and courteous, I didn't get her name, but she was all smiles and a very lovely woman. Thank you Smiles....that's what I'll call her... The two waitresses, Brenda and Kimberly were right on it......asking what we would like to drink and told us if we needed anything, don't hesitate to ask. We didn't need to ask because THOSE WOMEN WERE ON IT!!!! They were taking our empty plates, asking if we needed refills, refilling our drinks and all the while doing the same for all the other customers. Hey Tim......you got keepers, great job to all you ladies. Smiles recognized our accents since we are from Ohio she said she was from Xenia, Ohio I believe. You see, Ohioans live all around you....watch out Locust Grove, Georgia, after this post.......you might just get more northerners coming around. Thank You to all the employees of Tim's Country Cafe Country Buffet.. Oh, just to let you all know..... THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT!!! I'LL LET Y'ALL CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELVES. BEST FRIED CHICKEN I'VE EVER HAD!!!! EVERYTHING TASTED HOMEMADE AND REMINDED ME OF MY MOM'S COOKIN, but better. (Sorry mom) We will be back when we come through again. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I'll be full until I get back to Ohio tomorrow night. Sincerely, Robert Stokley Michael Gattshall Stokley Logistics LLC

Lovely place. I went to their first opening, the food was delicious, the building was clean, and the staff were friendly. The lima beans and roast beef were my favorite. I had the peach cobbler for dessert and the flavor and texture are perfectly balanced. Nice décor and plenty of seating.

Service is always sweet! I always get the same thing, which is good to me. The chicken has a weird taste and texture though. I'll just stick with the veggies.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Tim's last month when I was home visiting family. Let me just say, you cannot get food like this where I live in South Florida. It was just as good as Mama makes, but she got to enjoy her meal with me without any of the trouble of cooking it. The fried chicken? Delicious. Friday fried catfish? Heavenly. All the fixin's? Perfection. I can't wait to come back next time I'm in town.

The food is delicious and they offer such an assortment of different kinds of vegetables and poultry and fish. So if you don’t want fried chicken they have baked chicken as well. Enjoy when you go and tell them Michelle sent you. oh yeah they now open on Tuesdays too. And Saturday morning but only for breakfasts.

Very good Southern-style country hot buffet restaurant located in Locust Grove! Tim has sold all of his restaurants and has opened only this particular restaurant. Tim ison staff all the time (according to the waitress) and does all the cooking. It is all-you-can-eat, which includes drinks. Location: from Bill Gardner Blvd, turn onto Tanger Blvd (like you're going to the outlet mall) drive past Tanger Mall, go past the drivers license office, continue straight. Right before you come to a red-light intersection, you will see a BP station on right. Turn into the BP gas station. The building consists of 2 establishments, the BP store and Tim's on the end. We went on a Friday for lunch about 12:30pm. No problem parking. Not crowded. You pay at the cashier. Senior discounts are offered. Just recently, a salad bar was added. Grab a large plate, utensils, & napkins and "Go For It!" All you can eat! Friday is fried fish & chicken. Both are plentiful, hot, and good! Mashed potatoes, 2 types of gravy offered, lima & butter beans, & green beans, creamed corn, collards, slaw, potatoe salad, French fries, cabbage and sausage, jalapeño cornbread, biscuits, regular cornbread, everything hot and delicious! Let's don't forget the dessert! Choices are banana pudding, strawberry cobbler and peach cobbler! Can't decide. Try all 3 , like my husband did! I noticed the bar was filled constantly with hot food! Once you filled your plate, walk into the dining area and grab a table! Waitress will get your drinks for you. Now, the place is very casual and laid back. The floor is a little scuffed up, but hey, think of all the chairs being scooted around! The place is clean! Once someone leaves the restaurant, the table is cleaned immediately! Will i come here again? Yes! Just what Locust Grove needed, a good southern homestyle restaurant, instead of fast food restaurants. Please note the days and hours when the restaurant will be opened.
